A stretch of rock ten feet above the tops of the trees is formally called the Zumba Plateau, after the strange little infected dog who found it and died of starvation at the top fourty years ago. However it is known better as the Mosquito Plateau because of the mass amounts of mosquitos one is attacked by when at its level top. Here is where training takes place, battle styles and Hunger training are practiced daily by most of the packs population. It is rare that you don't find someone at the top or on the sides of the strange formation.

The Pend Oreille River marks the border for the sothern area of the Sycophants. Fishing is good all year around and if you are skilled you can catch enough to feed half the pack in one visit to this river. One should always be cautious and the weak swimmers should not get too close to the edge, for the current may just sweep you away if you let your guard down.
